Transportation

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory has an easy access from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) as well as Oakland International Airport (OAK). You can take Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) trains to Downtown Berkeley, and take the LBNL shuttle to the lab. Get off at the downtown Berkeley station. Go up the stairs to the street level and locate the high rise with Bank of America ATMs on the ground floor across the street (corner of Center and Shattuck). Head towards the bank and walk north (left) on Shattuck half a block towards the main bus stop area — the shuttle bus stop is marked for Berkeley Lab and is in front of the Sandwich Zone shop, just past the bank. Wait for a marked Laboratory shuttle bus which runs every 10 minutes during much of the day and will bring you directly to Berkeley Lab. More information about Maps and Transportations are here.

(see the Accomodations tab for more information about dedicated conference shuttle service)
