Accessibility

BOOST 23 has been granted a Public Event Designation from the Department of Energy so that anyone regardless of country of origin, citizenship, or institution may fully participate in the conference.

Even though everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate in person, we appreciate that not everyone who wants to travel to Berkeely Lab will be able to do so.  Therefore, we will broadcast all talks on Zoom and allow for remote questions to be asked.  This will be moderated by having two session chairs for each session: one monitoring the discussion in the room and one monitoring for questions on Zoom.  Captioning services will be provided by StreamText via a separate website.  Captioning will not appear in the Zoom screen.  This service provides you the ability to review and scroll back on previous transcriptions.

The Berkeley Lab accessibility webpage has a lot of useful information, including visiting the lab for people with limited mobility, the location of lactation rooms (there is one down the hall from the workshop venue in building 50B on the 5th floor), and gender inclusive restrooms (there are multiple in the building 50 complex).
