QuantHEP 2025

QuantHEP2025 at Berkeley is a conference bringing together researchers and students in the fields of quantum technologies for high-energy physics, which includes quantum simulation and numerical methods for probing high-energy phenomena. The meeting will take place in Berkeley from September 29th until October 2nd at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab and is open to the public.

The goal of the conference is the discussion and exchange of ideas related to the latest developments in the field. The format and venue have been chosen to invite an informal atmosphere with plenty of time for discussion.

We anticipate most talks to be by invitation. In addition, there will be a limited number of slots available for contributed talks, and participants can submit abstracts once registration opens. Note that submitting an abstract will not guarantee a speaking slot. We will also have four keynote presentations on more general topics

  • Nathaniel Craig on computational problems in HEP/NP
  • Bert de Jong on quantum hardware
  • Geoff Penington on connections to formal theory
  • Ruth Van de Water on Lattice QCD

There will be a reception on Wednesday, October 1 at 6:00pm, and a conference dinner on Tuesday, September 30, 2019, at 6:30pm at Skates on the Bay.  Further details will be provided at the workshop.

Registration costs are 200 USD, which includes the reception and dinner. Students can register at the reduced cost of 50 USD. Participation will require registering on this Indico site, but also require to register for on-site access and payment of the registration fee using the link that can be found on the On-site Registration page
Registration on Indico is now open and will close August 15 2025. On-site registration will be available in the second half of May.
