Description
Diffractive processes account for up to 30% of the inelastic cross-section at the LHC and are expected to account for over 20% of the cross-section at the planned Electron-Ion Collider. In this talk, I will derive a factorization for diffraction, using Glauber SCET. I will also compare and contrast our factorized results to formulas historically used to carry out global analyses in the diffractive literature.
